A complex, grid tied, photovoltaic system with battery back up is complex, with mutiple routes and controls in place to handle the flow of energy. While the above static graphics are correct, confusion can arise about where the energy is flowing to various parts of the system. Color and animation lead to deeper and better overall understanding about how a complex, real world system operates.
